Introduction:
FacPub is an ongoing project with the goal of
providing information on the scientific publications of the faculty of the
Indiana University Chemistry Department. Until recently, three collections
existed: the original FacPub (covering the period of 1985 to 1997), FacPub Prototype
(covering the period of 1998 to 1999), and FacPub2 (covering the period of
2000 to the present). The data from the three databases have been
combined into the current searchable FacPub database.
Data Collection:
Citations dating from 1985 to 1997 were taken from
ISI's Science Citation Index and Chemical Abstracts Service Online. Publications that did not appear in
“standard” journals during this time were not included.
Citations dating from 1998 to 2002 (with some overlap in 1997) were taken
from SciFinder Scholar (Chemical Abstracts Service). The latter
citations were then imported into an EndNote Library and finally imported
into the original FacPub Microsoft Access database.

to current faculty: If there are additional publications (dated from
2000 to present only) that you would like listed on your FacPub2 page,
please notify Roger Beckman.
For
records prior to 1985, a printed bibliography in the journal section of
the Chemistry Library, Scientific Publications of the Chemistry Faculty
(Z5523 .I5), covers 1950-1986.
